                               represented the ICPCC at the 10th Europ. Congress in Sweden

The Executive Committee and Sr. Rita van Damme and Prof. David Ito, members of the Coordinating Committee, met at the Kaiserswerth-Diakonia Institution's site in Duesseldorf. The Kaiserswerth-Diakonia Institution in fact is one of the oldest diaconical institutions of Protestant Christianity worldwide, dating back to the work of Pastor Theodor Fliedner in 1836.

The Executive Board took the chance of the 18th International Seminar on Intercultural Pastoral Care and Counselling (Theme: "Intercultural and Interfaith Communication") of the SIPCC ("Society for Intercultural Pastoral Care and Counselling"), to meet after the SIPCC-Seminar.
Ursula, Nalini, Helmut and Klaus had been there anyway. Steven could come in from the US, Bruce had to excuse because of an illness. In Hongkong it had turned out that there was a chance for Sr. Rita and David to come from the other side of the globe and join this meeting.
Since Emmanuel Lartey, P. Kambar Manickam and Josef George also attended the SIPCC-seminar, there was a great chance to share and exchange at the starting afternoon, Friday, Oct 7th (see pictures above).

The discussions and negotiations dealt with
- impressions of the 2 regional conferences in Aug. 2005 in Hongkong and Sigtuna/Sweden, where ICPCC-Representatives had been present, also with
- approving the final accountings of the Bangalore-ICPCC-World-Congress 2004,
- the upcoming ICPCC-World-Congress 2007 in Southern Poland,
- questions of financing the work of the ICPCC
- how to go on with improving the networking of the ICPCC worldwide, aside from conferences and congresses
and last bt not least:
- approval of the applications of new membership applicants! (see here)
