In Celebration of your Life, Retirement and Future.
Ursula,
In the Name of the International Council of Pastoral Care and
Counseling, the Executive Committee wants to celebrate your life,
contributions, retirement, and future.
Your contributions to the ICPCC are well known, honored and appreciated.
Without your commitment and energy, as Past-President and member,
the ICPCC would not be the same organization that it is today.
All of your efforts to help the ICPCC live and work as a networking
community were of immense importance.
Your grace, energy and skills helped transform the ICPCC into
a genuinely international community, define its identity as one
can now find it in the revised constitution, and insure its ongoing
importance.
Of course, there is much more than your work with the ICPCC. Your
teaching and writing have inspired various generations of students.
Your lifelong commitment to truth and justice through open and
honest communication and your belief in hearing and honoring the
voices of the unheard and excluded have changed the way that many
people and groups understand the meaning of Pastoral Care and
Counseling. We deeply respect and honor your commitment to Justice
and Reconciliation.
Here your academic work in the way you understood it, has always
been reconnecting to the impulses you set out for the ICPCC, too,
last but not least in helping to select the venues for the last
and the next ICPCC-World-Congresses.
Though we are scattered throughout the world, we are with you
in spirit.
With Infinite Respect and Gratitude.
In the Name of The Executive Committee of the ICPCC.
